Job Purpose

The Service Technician drives to the client’s business to troubleshoot machine issues. Resolves issues in a timely manner.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service to all Solutions Management clients and staff
  • Answers all incoming service calls to determine the level of service required
  • Builds all machines that arrive in warehouse
  • Travels in company vehicle to client’s business locations to build, install, and set up connections for Ricoh, Xerox brand MFP and printers
  • Trains End Users on Ricoh, Xerox brand MFP and printers and is the point of contact at installation and beyond as needed
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintenance of Ricoh, Xerox brand MFP and printers
  • Processes old machines through DOT process; either stripping a machine for parts, storing for future demo or sale, or sending for recycling
  • Maintains inventory of parts, tools, and equipment in individual vans
  • Attends continued education courses for Xerox and Ricoh brand products
  • Organizes and maintains all equipment in the warehouse
  • Answers call for dispatch and toners in the absence of the Service Dispatch Associate
  • Delivers toner to client locations regularly
  • Completes miscellaneous labor, research, and repair as deemed necessary by the Service Manager or other management

Hours

The employee works a full-time schedule, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm; scheduled on call as needed

This position is Non-Exempt; All overtime work must receive the supervisor's prior authorization

Qualifications

  • Employees must be able to execute strong customer service skills
  • Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills
  • Knowledge of the industry is recommended, but not required
